Winter Adventures takes place on the
four Saturdays of February at the Center and the Farm. Children take part
in activities that enhance understanding and appreciation of wildlife in winter. |

Summer Adventures programs are week long half day programs focused
on exploring the Earth. A stream study is just about a requirement for Summer
Adventures. The Farm and Center are both part of Summer Adventures
|

The Center for Lifelong Learning
has classes for all ages (babies, pre-school, and adults) and interests.

Public Walks
take place almost every Saturday and Sunday at 2:30. Call the
Center to find out what's happening this week! You could be guided through
the prairie, search for spring wildflowers, watch sap being boiled into maple
syrup, or become involved in any of a dozen other things |

The Pancake Meal takes place in March. Eat some hot pancakes with
freshly made maple syrup then take a walk in the winter woods to see the buckets
hanging from the trees.

Sugar Bush
Walks take place in February when the
sap just begins to run. Visitors see the big, old maples hung with buckets
and the sugar house under a column of steam. Be sure to get a taste of fresh
grade A syrup. |

Candle Dipping takes place in late
fall. Our ancestors slaughtered farm animals in fall and made soap and candles
from the fats. Beeswax stored from the summers harvest of wax was used for
the best candles. Make a candle with us.

Natural
History Trips take you to wonderful
landscapes in the company of Aullwood naturalists. we have toured Guatemala,
the Everglades, Northern Ontario, and other sites. Upcoming trips are filling
now! |

Full
Moon Walks take place on velvet summer
evenings or exquisitely crystal winter nights. We hold at least 12 each
year.

Butterfly
Census takes place at the end of June.
Neophytes and experts enjoy a day of butterfly study. |

Incredible Insect Day gives everyone a chance to celebrate the 6
legged race with honey-rich baked good, dragonfly chasing, lightning bug
viewing.

The Flights
of Fancy Festival comes with unusual and colorful birds, big and small
bats of the world, stunt and fighter kites, boomerangs (make your own!), radio-controlled
aircraft, a full-sized replica o the 1902 Wright glider, children's activities,
special foods and much more. Look for it in April at the Marie S. Aull Education
Center! |

Apple
Fest means apple butter, apple pies,
apple cider, and apples to eat right out of your hand. Johnny Appleseed shares
the joy of apples, people take wagon rides, artists and craftspeople share
their wares and a wonderful time is had by all. This happens on the last weekend
in September. This takes place at the Farm.

The Nature
Quilt Show takes place at the Center in spring. Entries center on
a natural history theme. The 1998 theme is "All Creatures Great and Small".

Amish Quilt Auction and Amish Quilt Show
take place in September and October. The show is at the Center, the auction
is at the Farm.

Happy
Bird Day is a chance to take a bird walk, find out more about feeding
the birds or hear a talk about a special bird topic. HBD takes place at
the Center. |
